Switched to a grain food per vet

I thought it would be difficult having to switch my dog's food that had been grain free. It just took a few days of mixing this food with the old food and voila, my dog eats it! He is 11 and set in his ways, but after we discovered a heart murmur recently and that the blue food he had been on had been questionable related to heart problems by the FDA in March, we decided to switch fast and hard. It was suggested that we get science diet or pro plan, but on a budget we ask if this one would also be appropriate. The answer was yes thankfully. It is very easy to get a case delivered to our door saving us time and the trouble of trying to carry the weight of the case. For my dog, it helps if I heat this food up 15 seconds to 30 seconds in the microwave and then stir it up. The consistency he approves of but will eat it straight out of the can as long as not refrigerated. I don't think he likes cold food! Lol. In all, the value for the money, and that fact that my dog likes the taste, it does not cause any stomach issues, and it is turkey and barley so there is no real smell.I have to be cautious when feeding because my cat loves it too!! I figured this is a good sign. I am grateful that the switch went so well.

Very good product

The dog food arrived wrapped and cans were undamaged. Good to see! This dog food is for senior dogs and my dog enjoys this brand, also good to see. It actually smells better than some other brands.

Made my dog sick

I’ve had my dog 12 years. Since she’s senior I wanted to start giving her some wet food with her dry food. She’s never had any stool issues until I bought this food. After a couple weeks she formed diarrhea with mucus in it. Ended up having to take her to the vet and got meds to treat her. Vet said she’s got an angry gut and it was due to bacteria. I stopped using the food and she’s been back to normal two months now since I stopped feeding her this food.
